Argentina's Agricultural Exports Surge 157% in October
Sector sales reached $2.88 billion, driven by corn, soybean meal, and wheat.
Argentina's agricultural sector saw a 157% increase in exports during October compared to the same month last year. The total financial volume reached $2.88 billion for the period.
The results were driven by shipments of corn and soybean meal. Wheat also performed well due to international pricing and lower supply levels in the Northern Hemisphere.
Compared to September of this year, there was a 10% decline in foreign sales. The total amount accumulated by exporters in the first ten months of 2026 reached $25.16 billion.
This figure represents a 14% drop compared to the same period in 2025. The entities representing the sector account for nearly half of the country's total exports.
The performance of Argentine commodities influences the regional trade balance and the availability of foreign currency. Increased agricultural supply can impact risk perception regarding exchange rate stability and the liquidity of assets tied to emerging economies.
