Media firm reports digital revenue surge and reaffirms annual targets after Q3 results

Versant Media beat profit expectations in the third quarter. The performance was driven by growth across its digital platforms and the strength of the company's portfolio.

Revenue from digital platforms reached 245 million dollars. This figure represents an increase of nearly 10% compared to the same period last year. The Fandango service recorded its highest box office levels since the pandemic.

Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes totaled 353 million dollars. This value surpassed the 305 million dollar estimate projected by the market. Total company revenue stood at 1.59 billion dollars for the period ending September 30.

Advertising revenue fell to 373 million dollars. The 5.3% decline was attributed to the comparative impact of the Ryder Cup held last year. The company reaffirmed its annual revenue target of between 6.2 billion and 6.45 billion dollars.

CEO Mark Lazarus highlighted the creation of new monetization opportunities in four key markets. The company reached more than 120 million monthly viewers across its networks. New direct-to-consumer products are currently being launched to expand the user base.
