American firm Strive (NASDAQ: ASST) announced a new acquisition of 6,182 bitcoins in a deal valued at approximately $511.4 million. With this purchase, the company raised its holdings to an impressive 43,000 BTC. This move reinforces its commitment to Bitcoin as a long-term strategic asset. According to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the acquisitions took place between October 17 and October 23, 2026, at an average price of $82,732 per unit.
This development represents another step forward for institutional presence in the cryptocurrency market at a time when publicly traded companies are expanding their Bitcoin-based treasury strategies.
Strive’s trajectory is notable for its speed of accumulation. In December 2025, the company held approximately 7,525 BTC in its reserves. Now, in October 2026, that volume has reached 43,000 units, marking a growth of more than five times in less than a year.
In the second half of October alone, the company completed two major rounds of acquisitions. Between October 12 and 16, it purchased 4,045 bitcoins. Subsequently, another 6,182 units were added to the treasury. In addition to its Bitcoin reserves, Strive reported that its cash and marketable securities increased by $187.7 million, reaching $554.6 million.
These figures highlight the company's ability to continue mobilizing capital while expanding its exposure to the digital asset market.
A key part of Strive's financial strategy involves the issuance of preferred shares.
Recently, the company completed a public offering of 7 million SATS series preferred shares, priced at $90 per unit, raising approximately $630 million in gross proceeds.
The shares carry dividends calculated at an annual rate of 15% on the $100 par value, subject to the terms of the issuance. The company also allocated $157.5 million to a dividend reserve, sufficient for approximately 18 months of payments related to the new offering.
In parallel, Strive announced a program that allows for new issuances of up to $1 billion in SATS preferred shares over time.
The proceeds may fund new Bitcoin purchases, income-generating investments, working capital, share buybacks, and potential corporate acquisitions.
Unlike models that use loans or debt securities to finance acquisitions, Strive claims to support its strategy primarily through the issuance of common and preferred shares.
The company reports that it holds no debt related to notes, credit facilities, or leveraged positions. While this model reduces certain risks associated with debt, it also presents challenges. Issuing new shares may dilute shareholder stakes, while preferred share dividends represent significant financial commitments.
