Birch Hill, founded by former Goldman Sachs and BlackRock professionals, secured $4 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Multicoin Capital with participation from firms such as ParaFi Capital and Castle Island Ventures. The company's total capital raised has now reached $6.5 million.

The company intends to integrate loans from sectors like agriculture, energy, and multifamily real estate into public blockchains. The goal is to build financial infrastructure that operates within United States regulatory standards. The team has already initiated discussions with the SEC crypto assets task force.

The business operates across three distinct fronts. The Vaults division assesses risks in credit protocols while the strategy unit develops onchain credit products. The corporate arm is seeking registration as a broker-dealer with FINRA to offer assets to qualified investors.

The firm hired experts from platforms like Yearn and Gauntlet to strengthen its eight-person team. The focus is on attracting banks and insurance companies that require recognized financial structures to allocate capital. The initiative seeks to connect loan originators to new sources of digital liquidity.

The movement toward tokenizing real-world assets is driving demand for digital financial infrastructure and could increase integration between the traditional banking system and the digital asset ecosystem.
