Brokerage firm Robinhood has reached an agreement with Ripple to integrate the RLUSD stablecoin into its application. The feature is expected to become available to users throughout 2026.
The project also includes using the XRP Ledger network to conduct institutional settlements between financial firms. This partnership expands upon an existing relationship with the Bitstamp platform, which already operates with the digital asset.
Beyond offering the coin to customers, Robinhood intends to use Ripple technology for internal cash and liquidity management. The system is expected to assist in areas such as payments, financial forecasting, and clearing between the company's own divisions.
Despite the announcement, details regarding specific launch dates have not yet been defined. Service availability will depend on local regulations and the jurisdictions where the brokerage operates.
The adoption of stablecoins by major retail platforms may increase digital asset liquidity and boost institutional interest in blockchain network infrastructure for global payments.
