Mirae Asset Securities' Hong Kong unit has issued tokenized notes using the Solana network. The operation is part of a 3 billion dollar structured program aimed at the institutional market.
The issued asset consists of six-month floating-rate notes. The brokerage firm's own internal digital infrastructure managed the entire token lifecycle. This process included the issuance and management of payments made to investors.
Marketnode served as the authorized distributor for this transaction. Mirae Asset Securities intends to use this model to expand its offering of structured products through blockchain-based channels.
This move reinforces the South Korean financial group's strategy toward digital assets. The organization already holds a controlling stake in the Digital X exchange and operates a vast range of exchange-traded funds around the world.
Adopting public networks for institutional debt issuance can increase liquidity and operational efficiency in the global capital market. The use of blockchain in traditional assets tends to reduce settlement costs and expand access for qualified investors.
