Exchange operator Euronext has suspended the debut of the CoinShares Zcash exchange-traded product. The asset was scheduled to begin trading on Euronext Paris this Wednesday.

The decision stems from concerns regarding operational settlement requirements. The block remains in effect until settlement operations are fully supported by the Central Securities Depository.

Euronext spokesperson Flavio Bornancin-Tomasella stated that the measure is strictly technical. The company aims to ensure that standard settlement processes function flawlessly before authorizing the start of trading.

This would have been the fourth Zcash-based product listed in the European market. Other companies such as 21Shares, Virtune, and Valor have already made similar instruments available throughout this year.

CoinShares did not respond to requests for comment regarding the delay. The official statement from the exchange did not establish a new date for the asset's debut on the French market.

Events that disrupt the liquidity of digital assets on regulated exchanges can increase the perception of operational risk and affect institutional investor confidence in the crypto ecosystem.
