CF Benchmarks has launched CFB Oracle to bring its price indices to blockchain networks. The company provides the data that supports BlackRock’s bitcoin ETF and CME Group futures contracts.
The new service allows developers to use benchmarks for stocks, bonds, commodities, and currencies in decentralized applications. The tool aims to simplify the creation of index funds, tokenized portfolios, and derivatives without the need for proprietary pricing systems.
Lending platforms and onchain funds can use this data to calculate asset values and manage collateral. The infrastructure ensures that prices have not been altered through the use of digital signatures.
The service is already available on Ethereum, HyperEVM, and Robinhood Chain. The company plans to expand support to other compatible networks in the near future.
Kraken intends to use CFB Oracle for its upcoming perpetual futures offering in the United States. The launch puts the company in direct competition with oracle providers such as Chainlink and Pyth.
The integration of traditional financial data into decentralized networks increases the reliability of tokenized assets and may reduce systemic risk in decentralized finance protocols by aligning prices with the global market.
