The market reacted immediately to the announcement. Braze shares soared more than 50% on Tuesday following a brief trading halt during pre-market hours. This valuation represents a 58% premium over the previous closing price.
The transaction is not expected to close until the 2028 fiscal year. Completion remains subject to regulatory approvals and the consent of the shareholders involved in the deal.
Salesforce aims to bolster its suite of artificial intelligence tools for marketing and data management. The company previously acquired the platform Fin for $3.6 billion months ago with the same strategic objective.
