Apple has scheduled a product launch event for October 28 in Los Angeles. The invitation sent to the press uses the term Pro and tell. Expectations are that the presentation will focus on high-performance devices equipped with processors developed by the company itself.
Financial market analysts project the unveiling of new Mac computer models. There is a possibility that the company will introduce a laptop with a touchscreen. This technology would represent a shift in the brand's historical stance regarding the ergonomics of its portable computers.
This will be the third event under the leadership of executive John Ternus. The frequency of launches marks a change in the company's traditional pace of two annual events. The firm seeks to strengthen its presence in the artificial intelligence sector through its high-capacity chips.
Computer sales account for about 10% of Apple's total revenue. The company maintains a significant dependence on iPhone sales. However, Mac processors are central pieces in the organization's current advanced computing strategy.
Apple shares are up 26% for the year and are outperforming the S&P 500 index. The company is also collaborating with Meta to integrate language models into its high-performance devices. The market is awaiting updates to the iMac line, which has not received new features since October 2024.
