Israeli airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of eight people in Gaza. Among the fatalities is a four-year-old child struck by a missile near the Cairo School in the Al-Rimal neighborhood.
In the southern region of Khan Younis, a drone strike killed five police officers performing routine duties in the Al-Mawasi area. The local interior ministry described the action as a massacre and released the identities of the fallen officers.
Israeli military forces confirmed they carried out two strikes against what they described as military operational targets. As of now, the army has not provided evidence or further details regarding the operations conducted today.
The cycle of violence persists even after the implementation of a ceasefire last October. Data from the local health ministry indicates that 1,580 people have lost their lives since that agreement began, while the total death toll since the start of the conflict in 2023 exceeds 74,000.
Victims' families reported that the strikes hit areas where civilians were sheltering in tents. The humanitarian situation in the region is further aggravated by cuts to food assistance due to a lack of resources.
