Strategy plans to expand its Bitcoin reserves by issuing digital credit. Executive Chairman Michael Saylor stated that the company has the capacity to generate up to $30 billion in credit to fund new purchases of the asset.
The amount would be supported by the company's current balance sheet. This strategy eliminates the need to conduct new common stock offerings or rely on further appreciation in the price of Bitcoin. Management has shifted its focus to offering preferred shares as the primary fundraising tool.
CEO Phong Le reinforced that digital credit issuance will be the central method for acquiring more units of the cryptocurrency. The company reported a net income of $19.53 billion in the third quarter. This result was driven primarily by a $20.91 billion gain in the value of its digital assets.
As of October 25, the company held 848,517 units of Bitcoin in its treasury. This volume represents a 26% increase year-to-date. The $30 billion figure is presented as a potential financing capacity rather than a defined fundraising target.
The company also announced changes to its executive structure. Chief Financial Officer Andrew Kang will step down on November 5 for personal reasons. The CEO will temporarily assume financial duties until Reza Virasteh joins in January 2027.
