Nvidia has contested a report regarding the monitoring of an associate of CEO Jensen Huang by United States intelligence agencies. The report suggested that Alice Huang, who is linked to the company Megaspeed, could be acting as an intelligence asset for China.

The company stated that Megaspeed is merely a regional cloud services client based in Singapore. According to Nvidia, Jensen Huang’s interactions with client representatives are routine due to the high volume of contacts made annually.

The company refuted the idea that clients have access to trade secrets or national security information. Nvidia emphasized that it has not received alerts from the American government regarding any threat posed by Alice Huang.

Regarding previous suspicions that Megaspeed helped bypass export controls on artificial intelligence chips, Nvidia was categorical. The company stated that these allegations were investigated and dismissed last year.

Nvidia maintains a delicate position in Washington due to the central role of its processors in the global technology dispute. The American government imposes severe restrictions to prevent advanced chips from being used in the development of Chinese military models.
