The Indian company AM Intelligence is seeking to raise up to $3 billion through bank loans and bond issuances. The primary goal is to fund the purchase of Rubin graphics processors, which are the next generation of chips developed by Nvidia.
The expansion plan for the Hyderabad-based company includes installing 400 MW of computing capacity over the next two years. The firm intends to use 29,000 of the new chips to build data centers in India and Malaysia.
The company's total infrastructure project involves investments exceeding $20 billion to reach 300 MW of additional capacity within 15 months. The strategy is supported by $300 million in advance payments from potential clients.
The energy sector in India has been shifting toward a cloud model by building data centers for lease. Large local conglomerates are following the same path by investing in computing power focused on artificial intelligence.
Rubin chips are designed to support AI agents with low latency. This technology should allow Indian companies to offer advanced computing services to the global market.
