Fal hits $16 billion valuation while Brazil's Rivio reaches R$ 1 billion valuation

San Francisco-based startup Fal reached a $16 billion market valuation after raising $1.3 billion. The investment round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from Nvidia. The company specializes in inference services for video, image, and audio models.

In Brazil, the startup Rivio also doubled its market value to reach R$ 1 billion. The company received a new R$ 80 million investment led by Valor Capital and Monashees. The business focuses on managing hospital medical accounts through artificial intelligence tools.

This growth in valuations comes during a period of high demand for inference services, which allow trained models to run. Fal reported an annualized revenue exceeding $800 million. The sector faces the challenge of thin margins due to high costs for computing infrastructure.

Rivio serves institutions such as Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein and Sírio-Libanês. The technology seeks to reduce financial losses in hospital processes, which can reach 10% of revenue. The company processes complex data from hospitalizations and medical procedures on a large scale.

The progress of these companies demonstrates the expansion of artificial intelligence applied across different markets. While Fal meets the global demand for open models, Rivio focuses on the operational efficiency of the Brazilian healthcare system. Continued funding reinforces the interest of venture capital firms in this segment.
