New Jersey-based Cross River Bank has officially partnered with Ripple to integrate the RLUSD stablecoin into its core operating system. This initiative allows financial firms to use the digital asset directly within their standard banking operations.

The integration occurs through a single application programming interface. Clients can now access stablecoin transactions alongside traditional payment methods like ACH and wire transfers without needing to manage their own blockchain infrastructure.

The service enables seamless cross-border payment settlement and treasury transfers. The technology uses the XRP Ledger to process movements and achieves settlement times between three and five seconds for system users.

Currently, the service is available in a limited number of U.S. states. Ripple aims to expand the distribution of its digital asset by connecting with an institution that provides payment infrastructure for various financial businesses.

This move increases the utility of digital assets within established payment networks. Using stablecoins in banking systems can boost liquidity and operational efficiency in global markets while impacting how institutional payment adoption is perceived.
