Binance Reports Delays in Restoring Low-Liquidity Assets
The exchange states that 5% of affected funds remain pending due to trading difficulties with specific tokens.
Binance reported that the restoration of stolen assets has reached the 95% mark. The remaining 5% balance faces operational hurdles due to the low liquidity of the tokens involved in the incident.
The company emphasized that the replenishment process and the reopening of withdrawal routes are distinct stages. Difficulty in acquiring specific assets and restoring transfer networks individually is delaying the completion of the recovery plan.
A schedule for the progressive reopening of withdrawals began on November 3. The availability of each network pair depends on the completion of security checks and technical readiness by the exchange.
Data from October 31 confirmed full backing for ten major assets. These include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, and Binance Coin. The remaining assets, which make up the pending portion, require more processing time to ensure user security.
The management of these assets reflects the logistical complexity of maintaining reserves across different networks. The exchange remains committed to covering the affected funds while finalizing the necessary adjustments to normalize operations.
