Israeli forces conducted air and ground strikes that resulted in the deaths of at least five people in the Gaza Strip. Among the victims was a seven-year-old child identified as Jouri al-Soufi. The incident occurred at a camp for displaced people located in Khan Younis.

Another drone strike hit the Remal neighborhood, west of Gaza City. One person died at the scene after fire was directed at a group of civilians sheltering in tents. The local civil defense service recorded 11 deaths and 50 injuries across the territory in the last 24 hours.

Additional reports indicate that a camp for displaced people at the Shujayea junction was set on fire by drones on Sunday night. The action forced more than 200 families to flee the area. The Ministry of Public Works and Housing reported that the fire destroyed tents and personal belongings for several hours.

The total death toll since the beginning of the conflict has reached 74,555 people. The local Ministry of Health also reported 175,727 injuries to date. The humanitarian situation remains critical with the ongoing destruction of shelter infrastructure.

The worsening geopolitical tensions in the Middle East tend to increase risk aversion in global markets. This scenario usually boosts the search for safe-haven assets and puts pressure on the volatility of the dollar and Bitcoin.
