United Parcel Service surpassed Wall Street expectations for the third quarter. The company raised its annual revenue forecast for the second consecutive time.
The new estimate for total annual revenue is approximately 92.6 billion dollars. The previous figure stood at 91.2 billion dollars.
Net income for the quarter ending September 30 was 1.16 billion dollars. Adjusted earnings per share reached 1.69 dollars for the period.
The domestic segment recorded a 4.5 percent revenue increase. The international division grew by 7.1 percent and the supply chain solutions sector advanced by 18.2 percent.
CEO Carol Tomé highlighted the use of automation and operational efficiency as drivers for the performance. The company is currently preparing its logistics network for the holiday season.
The strengthening of major logistics firms reflects the health of global consumption and may influence risk perception in high-volatility assets. Robust corporate results tend to support the dollar against emerging market currencies by demonstrating resilience in the American economy.
