Meta Debuts in European Market With €8.25 Billion Bond Offering
Facebook parent company drew record demand of €53 billion in its first euro-denominated bond issuance.
Meta Platforms has completed its first bond issuance denominated in euros. The operation aims to raise 8.25 billion euros for general corporate purposes.
The total amount was divided into six distinct series. Maturity dates for the bonds range from 4, 6, 8, 12, 18 and 38 years.
Demand for the bonds reached 53 billion euros. This volume set a record for corporate issuances carried out in the European market.
This fundraising occurred shortly after the company raised 15 billion dollars in the American market. The offering in the United States was structured into five different series.
The company's entry into the European debt market expands options for exposure to the technology sector. Analysts believe the operation diversifies holdings for investors in the region.
