Drone Strike in Russia's Belgorod Region Kills Three
Family dies in minibus attack as Ukraine suffers deadly strike on humanitarian center
A Ukrainian drone struck a minibus in the Russian region of Belgorod this Wednesday. The attack resulted in the deaths of three members of the same family. Among the victims was an eight-year-old child.
Belgorod is located near the border with Ukraine and faces frequent attacks. Local authorities confirmed the incident during the day. The area remains a frequent point of tension between the two countries.
Simultaneously, an aid center in Komyshuvakha was targeted by Russian shelling. The facility was located in the Zaporizhzhia region and served as a shelter and supply distribution hub. At least 37 people died in the attack.
The building featured a reinforced structure funded by the European Union. The force of the explosives caused the concrete to collapse and sparked a fire. Rescue teams continue to search for approximately 50 people missing under the rubble.
The Ukrainian president described the episode as a horrific act. The State Emergency Service continues search operations at the site. The humanitarian situation in the region remains critical due to intense fighting.
