Donald Trump confirms bombing of Iranian anti-aircraft site as diplomatic talks remain stalled.

President Donald Trump confirmed that U.S. military forces carried out an attack against an anti-aircraft installation in Iran. The operation took place on Qeshm Island, located near the strategic Strait of Hormuz. The American government described the action as defensive following Iranian fire directed at a U.S. aircraft.

Iran rejected the response sent by Washington regarding the conditions for reopening the maritime channel. Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, stated that Tehran's demands were not met in a convincing manner. The country is calling for an end to economic sanctions and the lifting of the naval blockade imposed by the Americans.

Qatar continues diplomatic efforts to mediate dialogue between the two nations. Representatives of the Qatari government confirmed that proposals are being exchanged in real time to avoid a large-scale armed conflict. Despite this, the climate of uncertainty persists with reports of attacks on oil tankers in the region.

Analysts are watching the proximity of the U.S. midterm elections with caution. There is an expectation that the American military command may prepare new offensives for the post-election period. The presence of three aircraft carriers in the area reinforces the possibility of an intense and rapid military escalation.
