Moscow meeting focuses on regional security and energy cooperation

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Mohsen Rezaei, head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, in Moscow. The meeting served to deliver a letter from Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. Discussions prioritized regional security arrangements and the post-conflict period.

Rezaei stated that the dialogue covered Russian support to end military actions against Iran. The cooperation plan includes building new gas pipelines connecting Russia to Iranian territory. The trip had been previously postponed due to regional military instability.

the Iranian representative emphasized that Tehran does not intend to negotiate with the United States until seven specific conditions are met. The Iranian government maintains its stance of not yielding to external pressure. The stated goal is to achieve a level of absolute deterrence.

These discussions occur during a period of intense diplomatic activity involving Qatar. The current geopolitical landscape includes tensions over the Strait of Hormuz and economic sanctions. Disruption of energy flows and port blockades remain central points of the impasse.
