Israeli drone strikes hit various regions across the Gaza Strip last Saturday. The military actions took place in the north, center, and south of the Palestinian territory. The official toll shows six deaths confirmed by local medical and emergency teams.
The attacks struck areas near the Jabalia refugee camp and the al-Mawasi sector in Rafah. Reports state that civilians were targeted while returning from a funeral in the Tuffah neighborhood. Al-Shifa Hospital confirmed deaths in different parts of Gaza City.
The Gaza Health Ministry reported that the number of fatalities since the ceasefire mediated by the United States in October 2025 has reached 1,511 people. The agency also counts thousands of injured individuals during the same period. The humanitarian situation remains critical according to updated data.
The United Nations Children's Fund recorded the deaths of more than 340 children since the start of the truce period. The continuation of military operations challenges the stability of the agreement established one year ago. The conflict scenario persists on several fronts in the region.
The escalation of tensions in the Middle East tends to increase risk aversion in global markets. This movement usually raises demand for safe-haven assets and puts pressure on the volatility of Bitcoin and the dollar against emerging market currencies.
