Exchange-traded funds tracking Ether in the United States have seen net outflows exceed $1 billion this month. The $1.08 billion in redemptions marks the highest monthly volume of withdrawals recorded throughout 2026.

October's negative movement completely wiped out the $832 million that entered these products during September. As a result, the year-to-date net inflow balance for Ether has dropped to approximately $485 million.

This outflow trend follows the asset's depreciation in the market. The price of Ether fell 9.7% in October and has accumulated a decline of nearly 18% throughout 2026.

In parallel, Bitcoin funds in the United States showed a slowdown in contributions following a peak recorded on Monday. Bitcoin has logged a net negative flow of $67 million in October and a 5.3% drop year-to-date.

The persistence of withdrawals from digital assets reflects a shift in institutional investor appetite. This trend tends to increase volatility and pressure the liquidity of these assets in the global market.
