Franklin Templeton has made a significant move on the XRP Ledger by adding $150 million in shares from its tokenized money market fund. The entire amount was directed to a single digital wallet. This address now holds the fund's total token balance on the network.
Records show the wallet received two deposits of $75 million each last Thursday. The volume of sgBENJI shares jumped from 48 million to nearly 193 million. The unit price recorded in the transactions was $1.039.
The receiving wallet shares the same eight authorized signature addresses as Franklin Templeton's issuing account. Two of these keys are sufficient to approve any transaction. The structure combines blockchain records with external data that links addresses to real-world identities.
The fund invests in short-term dollar debt and money market instruments. This includes government securities and bank deposits. Fund yields are accrued directly into the share price.
The move reinforces the adoption of real-world assets on blockchain networks. The integration of major institutional managers into decentralized infrastructures may increase liquidity and trust in the use of tokenized assets for securities custody.
