Lawmakers are investigating the alleged ties between Jensen Huang and an executive identified as a Chinese intelligence asset.

Leaders of three US House of Representatives committees have sent a letter to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. The document requests a closed-door meeting regarding the executive's relationship with Alice Huang, a tech industry figure identified by authorities as a potential Chinese intelligence asset.

Republican lawmakers expressed concerns regarding national security and China's access to sensitive technologies produced in the United States. The request seeks details about Jensen Huang's interactions with the executive and the company's security protocols against foreign espionage.

Recent reports suggest that American intelligence identified Alice Huang as someone who passed information to Beijing after building ties with the Nvidia CEO. President Donald Trump was briefed about the case about a year ago but chose not to take action at the time.

Nvidia stated that Jensen Huang's meetings with clients follow the standard routine of an executive who speaks with thousands of people annually. The company reinforced that it shares only common commercial information with its regional cloud clients rather than confidential or sensitive data.

The company declared that it trusts the US government to provide notification if any individual poses a real threat to the national industry. As of now, Nvidia has not confirmed whether its CEO will attend the meeting requested by the lawmakers.
