Aeris Seeks Out-of-Court Restructuring for Billion-Real Debt
Wind blade manufacturer negotiates R$ 1.52 billion in liabilities with creditors to preserve operations and maintain production levels.
Aeris has officially filed for an out-of-court restructuring with the São Paulo judiciary. The goal is to reorganize R$ 1.52 billion in non-current unsecured debt.
The financial restructuring plan has received approval from the company's board of directors. The measure still requires ratification at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders.
The company secured initial support from 42.18% of the creditors covered by the plan. The group has a 90-day window to reach the support of more than half of these credit holders.
The process excludes tax debts and labor obligations. The company assured that manufacturing activities and supply chains will continue without interruptions during the negotiations.
Aeris's move reflects the pressure on the cash flow of Brazilian industrial firms. The outcome of this restructuring could influence the perception of corporate debt risk and impact stock volatility on the Ibovespa.
