Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is participating in a series of talks in Oslo to address the end of the war against Russia. The meeting includes United States special envoy Steve Witkoff as well as the prime ministers of Norway and Finland.
Jared Kushner is expected to join the discussions remotely due to health issues. The agenda comes amid public pressure from Donald Trump who has questioned Zelenskyy's stance regarding the peace process.
Zelenskyy also held recent talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Central topics included the supply of Patriot missile interceptors and intelligence sharing between the two nations.
The Ukrainian leader expressed concerns regarding limitations imposed on the Starlink satellite internet service. The network is used by the Ukrainian armed forces for military operations and drone strikes.
The outcome of these diplomatic negotiations could change the level of geopolitical uncertainty. This may impact the demand for safe-haven assets and the volatility of the dollar against risk currencies.
