Trump Ends US Financial Aid to Israel
US President confirms the end of $4 billion in annual funding starting next year
US President Donald Trump announced the end of direct funding to the Israeli government. The measure was decided following an agreement between the American leader and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The commitment establishes that the annual payments of $4 billion will cease at the end of this year. The American government emphasized that assistance will no longer be automatic although the country may maintain support in specific situations of need.
Data from the Congressional Research Service shows that the amount allocated to Israel in the 2025 fiscal year totaled $3.8 billion. Of this total, $3.3 billion was directed toward military assistance and $500 million toward missile defense systems.
Trump justified the decision by stating that Israel is capable of purchasing American weaponry independently. The statement was made during the midterm election voting period in the United States.
The shift in American foreign policy may raise the perception of geopolitical risk in the Middle East and pressure the dollar against global currencies. Uncertainty regarding capital flows in conflict zones tends to influence Bitcoin volatility as a store of value.
