Russian attacks carried out on Friday resulted in the deaths of at least eight people and left 60 others injured across various regions of Ukraine. The offensive struck shopping centers and critical infrastructure in nine different locations throughout the country.

The Ukrainian government confirmed that power supplies were cut for more than one million people. Repair crews are working to restore service but cities like Lutsk are facing blackouts that could last for more than 24 hours.

In Kharkiv a 71-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man died following bombings in three districts. Other deaths were recorded in Kramatorsk and the Dnipropetrovsk region along with one fatality confirmed in Rivne after drone strikes hit a shopping center.

In the Volyn region near the border with Poland an attack on a food processing facility caused one death. Drones also struck a customs terminal in Kovel causing fires in cargo trucks.

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that part of the power grid was restored throughout the day. The impact of the attacks reflects the continuation of the Russian campaign against the Ukrainian energy system.
