Overnight strikes hit critical infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv

A Russian attack on energy facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region has left 600,000 people without electricity. The DTEK company confirmed that the damage occurred during the early hours of Sunday.

The Russian government stated that the operations targeted military and industrial sites. The strikes affected the capital, Kyiv, and surrounding areas with damage to power plants and electrical substations.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have hit the North Bridge. The site was reportedly used to transport weapons and military equipment to Ukrainian forces.

The offensive also reached the Meridian factory. According to Moscow, the facility produces Flamingo cruise missiles and other defense items.

Other regions suffered direct impacts on distribution networks. An electrical substation in Zhytomyr was hit by Russian forces during the operation.

A cargo ship in the Black Sea was also targeted. The Russian government maintains that the vessel was carrying dual-use goods and equipment for the conflict.
