Platform enables trading of stocks, ETFs, and metals on Solana for investors seeking alternatives beyond meme coins.

Solana Labs has introduced Leap, a mobile application designed for trading tokenized assets. The tool allows users to trade stocks, ETFs, metals, and digital currencies within a single environment. The software is currently available in beta for iPhone and utilizes the Solana network infrastructure to process transactions.

The project was developed by the team behind Dialect, a company acquired by Solana Labs earlier this year. The technology integrates features such as order routing via Jupiter and market data provided by Birdeye. The system leverages the Alpenglow update, which reduced transaction confirmation times on the network to 150 milliseconds.

The app offers tools for tracking profits and losses while displaying relevant news directly on price charts. The company strategy aims to attract investors interested in long-term decisions. The service is not available to residents of the United Kingdom or other regions with specific regulatory restrictions.

The business model includes plans to charge fees in the future to fund a rewards program and perform SOL token burns. This initiative follows the growth of real-world asset tokenization, such as tech company stocks that already circulate on the blockchain. The expansion of on-chain financial services may increase demand for network infrastructure and impact liquidity within the crypto ecosystem.
