Fireblocks Denies Acquisition Talks With Visa
Crypto custody firm refutes report of a $2.5 billion sale

Fireblocks has publicly denied reports that it is in advanced talks to be acquired by Visa. The digital asset custody and infrastructure company labeled the information as false at this time.
The rumor emerged following a report suggesting the payments giant was close to finalizing a $2.5 billion deal. The mentioned figure would represent a significant drop from the $8 billion valuation the company achieved in 2022.
Visa chose not to comment on market speculation. The company maintains strategic partnerships in the stablecoin sector and recorded an annualized settlement volume exceeding $20 billion last September.
The payments industry has been seeking to integrate digital asset infrastructure through recent acquisitions. Mastercard, for instance, completed the purchase of BVNK for an amount that could reach $1.8 billion.
Fireblocks operates as a technology provider for global banks and exchanges. It processes trillions of dollars in transfers across more than 150 blockchain networks for clients such as BNY Mellon and Revolut.
