Localiza Profit Jumps 29% in the Third Quarter of 2026
The company reached R$ 1.125 billion in profit despite high interest rates and R$ 33 billion in debt.
Localiza reported a net profit of R$ 1.125 billion between July and September 2026. This figure represents a 29.1% increase compared to the same period last year. The positive operational performance overcame challenges posed by vehicle depreciation.
The company's EBITDA grew by R$ 486 million during the period. This gain offset the rise in depreciation and amortization costs. The company attributed the result to the consistency of its strategic execution.
The organization's net debt reached R$ 33.063 billion by the end of September. Despite this amount, leverage measured by the net debt to EBITDA ratio fell to 2.12 times. The company maintains an available cash position of R$ 11.448 billion.
The car rental sector faced increased pressure on the prices of used and new vehicles. The annualized average depreciation per unit rose to R$ 8,757 for the quarter. Net financial expenses also increased by 2.4% due to the higher debt balance.
